    As discussed in part one of this issue, the rule of law is being rapidly destroyed in America by the present regime. (Even the Russian paper Pravda wrote recently that America is becoming a Marxist state and warned the U.S. of the destructive path on which we have embarked.) This will discourage foreign investors from investing in America and will – along with all the controls, intervention in the free market, and of course the collapsing stock, real estate, bond, and credit markets and the U.S. dollar – cause an exit in foreign capital from our shores.

    As Americans begin to move assets out of America and away from sharply rising taxes and dollar exposure, foreign exchange controls (or some sort of two-tier blocked currency) are likely to be implemented and maybe even travel controls – especially in some kind of acute crisis. Not a pretty picture (especially for the vast majority of Americans who are completely unaware and unprepared) – but survivable for those who do understand the times and are prepared.

WHAT TO DO:

• Get out of the U.S. stock and bond markets – they are headed for a great fall. (Gold mining shares are an exception.)

• Do not go bargain hunting in real estate yet – it is too early, with more downside to come.

• A more rural home (small town or country) will be much healthier and safer if social unrest, crime, rioting, or martial law should eventuate or escalate in U.S. cities.

• Reserves of food, water and at least a few firearms and ammunition (for home protection) are common sense items to have in unstable, volatile times – and the latter may soon be unattainable.

• 5. At least one-third of your liquid assets (maybe more) should be in gold and silver coins – personally held either in a safety deposit box or safe. At some point, they will probably be unattainable at any price.

• IRAs, Keoghs, SEPS, and 401Ks (if possible) should be switched out of stocks and bonds and into gold coins – which over the past eight years have outperformed stocks five or six to one (or more).

• At least 25% of your assets should be diversified outside the United States – preferably in Switzerland (which is still the most stable, efficient, free, and secure country in the world). This can be done either through Swiss Annuities (call Frank Suess at BFI Consulting, 011-41-1-980-4254, in Zurich, Switzerland) or through a Swiss physical gold storage program (call International Collectors Associates at 1-800-525-9556 for more information).

• Two months worth of expenses for your whole family in cash should be held.

• Cut back on unneeded expenses (i.e., home improvements, new gadgets, cars, luxuries, expensive coffee, vacations, movies, fast food, and other unnecessary expenditures) and save!

• An up-to-date passport for each member of your family is also a good insurance policy for the unexpected.

• A knowledge of herbal medicine and other alternative medical modalities could prove very helpful if the socialized medical system that is coming should break down in the midst of a financial, social, economic or political crisis.
  [ED. NOTE: The new socialized medical system is to be paid for by sharply increased taxes on productive Americans.]

• Good bicycles, mopeds, or motorbikes for each family member could be useful in a time of social or economic upheaval or fuel shortages.

• A knowledge of the Bible and what the God of the Bible says about how to live when the foundations are crumbling (as they appear to be in America today) – could be very helpful.

• A few close friends or family members who understand the times and are making similar preparations can be very helpful for moral support, encouragement and wise input.
